The City of Jackson’s golf courses are getting some new technology. Both Pete Brown Golf Facility and Grove Park Golf Course are receiving about $15,000 worth of new software. This Customer Relations Management and Point of Sale software is being provided completely free of charge from Golf Now.
“G1, Golf Now’s cloud based operating system, is arguably the most advanced business management platform in the industry,” said Steve Hutton, Director of Golf Operations for the City of Jackson. “Growing and maintaining our customer database will allow us to compete in today’s marketplace.”
G1 allows for a full integration of the course’s tee time reservation system and a Point of Sale system which provides customer tracking while optimizing other areas of the operation. Check-in becomes streamlined, and also has the ability to be touch-less if the golfer wishes to further social distance. Food and Beverage can be integrated allowing golfers to order food from the course and even have it delivered.
Hutton added, “There has never really been an attempt to connect with the regular golfers here in Jackson. We see them daily, but we haven’t tried to take the relationship and communication to the next level. G1 will allow us to send email reminders about golfing specials, or special events, or course conditions. We also will be able to send text messages if foul weather is approaching, or if the hamburgers become half price.”
Golfers may book their tee times by visiting www.PeteBrownGolf.com. Weekday Greens Fees are $12.50 and half a cart fee is $12.50, allowing golfers to play 18 holes for $25.
Grove Park is scheduled to be reopened sometime in the late spring or early summer and tee times may be scheduled at www.GroveParkGolf.com.
